Tenzing Hillary Airport also known as Lukla Airport is the gateway to Mount Everest.
Many tourists visit Mount Everest via Lukla Airport. Flights to Lukla Airport are operated from Kathmandu domestic airport, but due to the air traffic congestion from
1st of October 2022 till the end of November 2022 all the flights to and from Lukla are diverted to Manthali, Ramechhap Airport.
Manthali Airport is a four and a half hour drive from Kathmandu.
Currently there are three airlines which will be operating flights from and to Lukla.
1. SITA AIR operates with four Dornier aircrafts
2. SUMMIT AIR operates with four Let aircrafts.
3. TARA AIR operates with three Twin Otter aircrafts.
